This way of doing business comes about as a result of a Streetlight Maintenance Contract between the City of Fall River and Bishop Electric.

Street Reclamation

The Streets and Highways Division of the Department of Community Maintenance along with the Engineering and Planning Departments participate in Fall River’s Street Reclamation program.  The Street Reclamation program handles small street repairs, cave-ins, and street overlays. 

Potholes

• A pothole is a large hole on roadways formed from fatigue of the pavement surface. 
• This fatigue creates cracks on the bottom of the pavement surface and is exacerbated by cold weather and water. 
• Continued use of the cracked roadway causes pieces of pavement to be pulled from the road leading to large holes which can damage tires and vehicle suspensions.
