Department of Public Works 508-324-2584
Mayor Robert Correia and Director of Public Works Kenneth C. Pacheco are pleased to announce a convenient way for city residents to report streetlight outages or streetlight related emergencies 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Residents can now call 1-800-211-1811. When residents call the above number they will be asked to describe the problem and to provide a street light number if possible, as well as a street address and/or cross street. Outages can also be reported online at Imbishop@comcast.net. It is important to include an address or cross street to assure proper response. This way of doing business comes about as a result of a Streetlight Maintenance Contract recently executed between the City of Fall River and Bishop Electric Company.

Mayor Correia is happy to announce that the City of Fall River is 100 percent curbside recycling compliant. This means that all residents with regular city trash service may recycle. The DPW has a new fleet of recycling trucks, made possible through matching grants from the Department of Environmental Protection. These trucks will aid the city in its commitment to recycling. Fall River also has a dual-sided, automated recycling truck. With all of these tools in place, the city is poised to successfully realize its mission to recycle.
